Information for parents and carers

The Glenfield Return to School Program supports students in year 5-12 who have been placed on a long suspension. Our program provides intensive intervention and support for students whose behaviour has impacted their own school engagement, learning and relationships with staff and other students.

Our team maintain regular communication with your child's home school throughout the placement. At the end of the placement we provide a report of strategies and suggestions that may benefit your child upon their return to school.

Checklist for new students:

  • Home school will refer student to the GRSP
  • The student, their family and a school representative attends an intake meeting at the Ajuga Cottage
  • Student wears their regular school uniform
  • Pack a backpack with recess and water
  • Consider how you will get to and from the Ajuga Cottage (let GRSP staff know if you or your child need an Opal Card)
